According to Rivals.com, the Zags have offered Zach Hanson of South Dakota. He is a 6-9 Forward in the 2013 class who is being hotly pursued by Nebraska, Arizona State, Creighton, and others. From what we can tell he is a true front court power forward, somewhat similar to Ryan Spangler. Read more after the Jump.

According to Rafal Juc of the Polish Basketball Federation, Przemek Karnowski will announce his decision later this week, he is deciding between Gonzaga and California. He has recently removed Duke, Kansas, and Marquette from his list of suitors. Gonzaga would seem to be the favorite at this time to land Karnowski's services.

Recruit Profile: Mohamed Bah

While at a recent tournament, 2013 Prospect Mohamed Bah of Lee Academy in Maine, listed Gonzaga, LeHigh, St. Bonaventure, and St. Joseph's. From what we can tell, the lanky 6-9 forward, is the top rated recruit out of Maine (not really known as a Basketball hot bed). He originally hails from Bamako, Mali in Africa. He has great length which allows him to be an excellent shot blocker as well as a knack for finishing above the rim. Read more after the Jump.

Recruit Profile: Lucas Meikle

According to Mason Kelley of the Seattle Times, Luke Meikle has verbally committed to Gonzaga for 2013. From what we can tell at the moment, he is a 6-8 Forward who plays for Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma, WA. The only recruit profile i could find on him was at MaxPreps.com At this point he seems to be a relatively unknown player not on most teams radars. He did manage to visit the campus a couple weeks ago and i guess the staff was fairly impressed with him as they did in fact offer him a scholarship. Read more after the Jump.

Wonderful Article on Jerry Krause

Thanks to Gaz for the Tip.

He has been part of the Basketball program since 1987, albeit with a break in the middle. The fans don't see him combing the sideline, they don't see him ranting and raving to the players or thumbing his nose at the media. But behind the scenes, Jerry Krause is one of the most important pieces to the continued success of the Mens basketball program. In a wonderfully written article by Matt Snyder of gonzagabulletin.com, he delves in the value of Krause to the program and to the players who see him as a mentor and moral compass. Excellent Read!

Sam Dower One to Watch for 2012

According to Fran Fraschilla from ESPN.com, Sam Dower is one of eight to watch for 2012. He goes on to elaborate why:
"Sam Dower, F/C, Gonzaga Bulldogs
The 6-foot-9 sophomore will certainly not surprise anyone if he becomes a star for the Zags next season, even though he has never started a game in his first two seasons in Spokane backing up Robert Sacre. The reason he won't shock anyone is because in Gonzaga's 33 games this past season, he reached double figures 11 times, showing a deft shooting touch inside and out.
The left-handed Dower's 20-point and 10-rebound performance against Xavier on New Year's Eve was an indication of the type of player Dower can become for coach Mark Few in his last two seasons. In that regard, he has more of a track record than of the other guys on this breakout list."
While this certainly isn't breaking news to Zag fans, we all know what he is capable of. The fact that he is getting national attention from the Analysts is certainly a boon for his confidence and shows just how important he really is to our success next year. As Always, GO ZAGS!

Recruit Profile: Tre'Shaun Lexing Jr.

Tre'Shaun Lexing Jr. has been a pretty quiet name in the 2013 recruiting class so far. However, this past weekend he had quite the bust out performance in Las Vegas at the Adidas VIP Tournament. According to sources there he played very well. He was listed as Honorable Mention All State for 2012 by the AP. Read more after the Jump.

Trent Lockett No Longer Considering Zags

According to Jim Meehan of the Spokesman Review, Trent Lockett is no longer considering Gonzaga for his Senior year of eligibility. Apparently the pull of being closer to his ill mother was too much. He will decide between Iowa State and Marquette.

In other news, Przemek Karnowski is rumored to be be deciding between the Zags and Cal in the next 48 hours. We will try to report any developments as soon as they come across the wire. GO ZAGS!

Recruit Profile: Xavier Rathan-Mayes

The Zags officially offered Xavier Rathan-Mayes from the 2013 recruiting class yesterday. You can view his Rivals.com profile here. He is a 6-2 combo guard originally hailing from Toronto, Canada. He is currently ranked #66 overall by Rivals and attends the same Prep school that OJ Mayo attended (Huntington Prep in WV). Obviously with his proximity to WVU he is being heavily recruited by Bob Huggins and Co. Read more after the Jump.

Bonifacy Karnowski Sheds light on Sons Recruitment

While scouring the internet, i came across an article on pomorska.pl which was written in Polish, but from what i gathered after translating from Polish to English things are looking very good.  Bonifacy (Przemek's Father) thinks his son will have a better chance at winning at Gonzaga, thinks the world of our Trainers, and feels his son will be utilized in the middle of the post on a regular basis (had a pretty great example in seeing Robert Sacre this year).

He also feels that Euro players are valued within Gonzagas program. He also states that Kevin Pangos and Przemek have a good rapport and blooming friendship. He likes that he will have access to John Stockton.

These are all great signs for bringing Przemek into the fold, which i feel will be happening sooner than later. Sources are saying he was offered the opportunity to come visit the Blue Devils campus but turned them down because he feels playing time will not be available immediately. Hopefully the coaching staff will be able to wrap up Karnowski's recruitment in the coming days and lock down one of the better centers available. GO ZAGS!

Dookies Jump Head-First Into Karnowski Sweepstakes

Special Thanks to Gaz for the tip,

According to Curtis Clontz of bleacherreport.com, Duke has been hounding Przemek Karnowski since his arrival on US Soil. They are very intrigued by his size and current skill set. Some sources are indicating he instantly is as good or better than their best big man Mason Plumlee and could play in the NBA right now.

Curtis goes on to put in his two cents and seems to believe that the "Dookies" are long shots for Karnowski's services and that The Zags are the favorite to land him. We will keep you posted as we learn more about his recruitment. As Always, GO ZAGS!

Amedeo Della Valle Commits

Amedeo has verbally committed to Ohio State for next season. Not really a surprise as he had an excellent time in Columbus this week. Good luck on your time with the Buckeyes, sorry it couldnt have been with the Zags in Spokane! GO ZAGS!

Przemek Karnowski adjusts his list

According to sources, Przemek has updated his recruitment list. Gone are Washington State and Nebraska, and in at the 11th hour is Duke. At this time i think his list looks something like this: Gonzaga, Duke, California, Kansas

He has not officially stated he is down to 4 schools, but it is pretty apparent with his visit to Spokane that the Zags are at the top of the heap. Can the staff make end roads and sign Przemek before he leaves town? We will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Trent Lockett pairs list to three...

Trent Lockett, has paired his list down to three schools: Marquette, Iowa St., and Gonzaga. He is transferring from Arizona State with immediate eligibility for this senior season due to a Health waiver for his mother who has cancer. He was the leading scorer on last years Sun Devils squad with 13 Points a game, he also averaged 5.8 boards per contest.

Trent is originally from Minneapolis, MN and after learning of his mothers illness, intended to be closer to home, but Minnesota, and Tubby Smith, did not have a scholarship available. This opened the door for Marquette who is a stones throw from Minneapolis as well as Iowa State (another close school to Minneapolis) led by "The Mayor", Fred Hoiberg.

Once the Sun Devils announced Trent would be leaving, one of the first schools he contacted was Gonzaga, but as of yet he has not held an official visit to Spokane (one was scheduled but has since been cancelled).

An interesting note is that Marquette does not currently have a scholarship to give, but Coach Buzz Williams apparently is willing to jettison one of their lesser players to make room for the former Sun Devil. Trent has spent the last couple days in Milwaukee touring Marquettes campus and hanging out with Buzz as you can see below.

At this time Marquette is the favorite to land Locketts services, but if Coach Few and Co. can pin down Lockett for a visit he may be wooed into coming to Spokane. He most certainly would be a favorite to start at Small Forward next season and help the Zags make a strong push deep in the tournament. We will keep you posted as we learn more about Trents recruitment. Stay Tuned!

Karnowski just loaded this image via his Twitter account, Good Omen?

Przemek Karnowski visiting on campus today

Sources tell me that Coach Few and staff began their entertainment of the Polish Giant today. He is obviously the prized recruit for 2012 for this staff and would fill the big shoes that Robert Sacre left open for the future if he signs.

Many feel the 7 footer might be one of the more talented centers in this class and that if he had went to school in the states he would have been a top 50 recruit in the nation. You can view his Eurohopes Profile here. All that is fine and dandy, i just want to see his name on the dotted line. Heres Hoping Prezmek will be in Gonzaga Blue next year. We will keep you up on recruiting news as it happens. GO ZAGS!

    Amedeo Della Valle Deciding tomorrow...

Amedeo Della Valle announced via Twitter that he will decide between Texas A&M, Arizona, and Ohio State tomorrow. After spending the last couple days in Columbus, OH its likely he is headed out east.

Its sad to see such a promising prospect not go to the Zags, but perhaps the staff felt like the emergence of Gary Bell Jr. and Kevin Pangos during their freshman years was enough that they did not need more depth at the Guard spot. We will keep you posted with more recruiting news as it happens. Stay Tuned!

    Zags Courting Zach LaVine

According to Mason Kelley of the Seattle Times, The Bulldogs are in the early hunt for Bothell guard Zach LaVine. He is currently ranked #140 by Rivals.com, and #59 by ESPN.com.

Few and Co. are making LaVine a top priority early in the 2013 recruiting push and view him as an important piece for the future of the program. They are not alone in their attempts as LaVine lists the following schools on his recruitment list: Washington, UCLA, Texas, Louisville, Gonzaga, California, Arizona, Baylor, Colorado, USC and Utah.

Some think Washington is the early favorite to land LaVine, but don't count out the Zags before all is said and done. I feel his recruiting process is still in its infancy, and with a strong push by GU, he could be swayed to Spokane. We will keep you posted on Zach's recruitment as more news unfolds.

Here are a few clips of Zach in action:
