Recruit Profile: Mohamed Bah

While at a recent tournament, 2013 Prospect Mohamed Bah of Lee Academy in Maine, listed Gonzaga, LeHigh, St. Bonaventure, and St. Joseph's. From what we can tell, the lanky 6-9 forward, is the top rated recruit out of Maine (not really known as a Basketball hot bed). He originally hails from Bamako, Mali in Africa. He has great length which allows him to be an excellent shot blocker as well as a knack for finishing above the rim. Read more after the Jump.

At this point in Mohameds game i would say he is very raw offensively, but brings great athleticism and size to the defensive end of the floor. He should be viewed as a project and an almost guaranteed redshirt candidate. Most people have not really heard of him yet, but he will probably generate more interest in the coming months as his New England Playaz AAU squad travels the north east.

After the recent commitment of Luke Meikle, it seems the staff is really focusing on the 3/4 positions for the 2013 Recruiting Class. Both Luke and Mohamed appear to be fringe D-1 talent at this point however, and i wonder if perhaps they are looking to find some diamonds in the rough who they can have develop on the bench for a couple years before they see any real action. We will keep you posted on any recruiting news as it happens. Go Zags!
