Will Adam Morrison Re-Up on His NBA Dream?

There is a storm brewing. Front office officials throughout the NBA have been watching the resurgence of a former college star. His hair still flowing, his offense still as dangerous as ever. His name is Adam Morrison, or as most of the country refers to him simply as "Bust". The reality IS that Adam still has the talent to play in the NBA, the perception WAS that he could not hang with the superior athletes. He has spent time in the backwaters of europe, he has bounced between teams during this years NBA Summer league. The best news of all is that his dream is still alive, the Los Angeles Clippers have requested him to attend their 2012 training camp. A celtics blog had this to say about Adam the other day:

"The Celtics completed the final leg of their Summer League slate tonight in Las Vegas against the LA Clippers, but fans who tuned in to get one last look at Celtics draft picks Jared Sullinger, Kris Joseph and Fab Melo instead saw the incredible rebirth of one of the most maligned players in recent NBA history, Adam Morrison.
Morrison, the former Gonzaga star and poster child for the futility of the Charlotte Bobcats under Michael Jordan, poured in an electric 26 points, including four three pointers. His incredible display of offense was met by wild applause from the folks in attendance at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Watching Morrison hit circus shot after circus shot was a great reminder of what he used to be when he played for the Bulldogs under Mark Few. Those Gonzaga teams were some of the nations best, but Morrison and his trademark mustache had faded out of sight in recent years amid criticism that he wasn't strong enough or athletic enough to make it in the NBA.
His performance, not only tonight, but all week, was a great reminder of how Summer League can be a springboard to redemption for players like him. Here's hoping Morrison gets an opportunity to build on his great summer and latch on with another NBA team."
He is not just trying to reclaim his dream though, he is trying to redeem his name, trying to prove he not only belongs in the NBA, but can compete nightly with the best in the world. He wants an opportunity to come in and play at a high level. Will he have that opportunity with the Clippers? The jury is still out, but whether he sticks or not, he has proved he is deserving of a spot with an NBA team, and he will have no shortage of suitors for the upcoming season. Keep working hard AMMO, keep grinding everyday, prove yourself, redeem your name and that of the talent level that comes out of Gonzaga University. As always, GO ZAGS!

If the clippers get him we will have two zags on one nba team! That's gotta be a first!

Just having as many players as we do in the mix for making teams right now is also a first. Nice to know we have some zags making some noise.

As with most everyone in zag nation I hope AMMO connects with a team. He is an offensive threat but with the speed of the game at the pro level I am not sure his offense is strong enough to offset his defensive liability.

Good luck Adam. You had a great summer league so hopefully you will get another chance to make a squad.
