Steven Gray Update

As requested, we have thrown together a Steven Gray update to keep everyone in the loop. After leaving Spokane, Steven signed with the Latvian club BK Ventspils. His season was largely successful. In 58 games playing 22.2 minutes per game Steven averaged 10.6 points, 2.3 assists, 2.1 boards, 0.9 Steals, and shot 41% from three point range. Steven had several big scoring games of 22, 26, 27, and 26 respectively. His minutes fluctuated quite a bit though.

According to the Gonzaga Basketball twitter Page, Steven was sighted at the campus Gym last tuesday working out:

Hoopshype reported a few days ago that Steven worked out for the Memphis Grizzlies:

While its not necessarily a lock to see Steven make the trek to the NBA this season, his play in Europe was strong enough this past season that he should get several looks and may get a chance to play on a NBA summer league roster. Like most other Zag fans i feel Steven has more than enough talent to play at the top professional level, but he lacks that drive at times to fully reach his potential. Good luck Steven as you continue your goal of one day being an NBA'er.
