News and Notes for Tuesday

According to his facebook account, Gerard Coleman will visit Xavier tomorrow:

Also Christophe Ney of EuropeanProspects.com thinks that Mam Jaiteh will be going pro rather than attend GU or UW:

Jeff Goodman of CBS thinks the Zags will be top in the WCC next season...According to Jeff:
" Zags class of league: No one would have guessed that Elias Harris would stick around Spokane for four years, but that's exactly what happened -- and he'll be a senior this coming season. He'll also have a pair of talented guards who now have a year under their belt in Kevin Pangos and Gary Bell. Mark Few's team will be the heavy favorite to win the league -- again."
Germany played Poland today in a U20 Men's Friendly. This matchup featured both Przemek Karnowski and Mathis Mönninghoff. Mathis finished with 9 points on 3 three pointers and Przemek finished with 13 Points and 3 Boards. They will play again tomorrow.

GO ZAGS!

The Hoff can play! Just needs to keep showing the staff he can score off the dribble and crash the boards. I like Mike Hart and his effort and think he should get some PT but I want to see Hoff come in a line up that places him and KD out on the wing with KP and Dower running that pick and pop, def will force teams to make all sorts of decisions on D as they will not be able to sag down without Hoff or KD lighting them up from behind the arc.

Hoff is a terrific shooter from deep. He is also much more than a spot up three point shooter.

In order to showcase his skills he needs to get enough playing time to get into a rhythm. His confidence was lacking last season, which effected his rhythm, which effected his accuracy.

Everyone seems to be concerned about the need for wings. We HAVE them. Hoff, Landry, Draino, imo are fully capable of getting it done.

We also had Matis Keita, who transferred because of lack of confidence and playing time.

I will be getting into that next week when I run an exclusive interview with Matis Keita. Stay tuned!

I agree Gaz! The other thing about Hoff is his size and leaping ability. Most Zag fans have no idea just how athletic he is. He really can slash to the basket but it just seems as though he does not have the confidence or the green light to do so. Hopefully he will be able to show what he can do this year!
