The Zags have offered class of 2014 Forward Malik Pope out of Sacramento. Donny Daniels has been busy of late scouting and trying to find players that might not have cracked the top rankings but have the high D-1 talent the Zags need to continue their ascension to the pinnacle of College Basketball. Malik became a hot name this past weekend in Vegas, and added about seven offers from the likes of Colorado, UNLV, Boise St., Baylor, Arizona St., USC, and UW. According to Scout.com the heavyweights of Kansas and Arizona have also shown interest. He had an unofficial visit to UNLV during the past weekend and while it was certainly a visit of convenience as he was already in Vegas, it is something to be concerned about.
Expect him to become a top 50 recruit in the nation as time goes on, remember he is only now finishing up his sophomore year of High School, so dont expect him to make a decision for some time. But please do file his name away for future consideration.
