SWEET JESUS....that's great news!
Oh babe, we must have one of the best front courts in the nation with this addition. A true center that is perhaps already better offensively than Sacre at this point as a freshman. Need to work on his 50% free throw shooting though.

Karnowski is a great get!
From what I've seen of him, what I like about Karnowski is his anticipation ahead of the pass. What I mean is he seems to have a plan - he doesn't hesitate or wait on the defense to develop around him. He knows when to pass or shoot. He keeps the ball high using his whole frame to his advantage. He may have a couple of downsides, like lateral movement or foot speed but who needs that when you're 7'1". I mean you can't train 7'1"!

He is a supremely talented post player and according to a lot of folks, he is a guy who could have been a top 10 prospect in the US in this class...thats a huge get for the program especially to beat out the likes of duke, california, kansas, and marquette.
Nice take batbird....I think it's called "instinct", something that was missing from Sacre's game. It will be nice to have a monster in the middle that has natural instints, and knows when to do what's required, instead of having to think about it. Karno is 7'1 and still growing too!
Nothing against Sacre, he did a lot of good things for us and I will miss him roaming the middle, being an impenetrable brick wall, getting fouled constantly, and hitting 80%+ of his free throws. But, Karno is already ahead of Sacre offensively at this point and he is only going to get better. Oh yeah.

This was a day I thought might never come. Was I worried when I heard Duke & Kansas were trying to steal him away? YUP.
I will never heal from Cal at Kentucky grabbing Kyle Wiltjer away from us in the 11th hour. Especially after all that time spent courting him. I feared a repeat....what a relief tho!!

I LOVE the rankings if nothing more than for bragging rights, plus, it keeps us in the national spotlight, good for getting into potential recruits minds, and keeping us there.
