I'm thinking that Josh and Brianna would love to see a Louisville/GU match-up; me, not so much.
I do like the respect that we are getting from the Louisville area though; one of our first place votes came from the writer for the Louisville Courier.
However, I would prefer any other region than this match-up. I would even consider the South as a 4-5 seed to play in San Jose and face Michigan in the Sweet 16 than to have to face San Diego State, Louisville/Minnesota and Indianna. Those teams scare me more than almost any other even if they have been a bit inconsistent of late.
Round & round she goes, where she stops nobody knows. Roulette anyone?
Nobody has ever come close to predicting an actual bracket so I never get too excited about the prognostications.
I'll save most of my excitement for when the REAL one comes out, lol.
I saw a couple brackets on the "Bracket Matrix" that still have us as a one seed.
We win out, we might get a #2 seed. I'd be willing to bet a #3 seed is more likely though. But....we have to win out and that imo, does not seem likely. We are bound to trip up somewhere, right?
KenPom has us .4 of a point fav in Moraga. The slimmest of margins.
We will in essence reclaim our WCC crown with a win. But our season does not rely on winning vs. SMC. On the other hand, St. Mary's season does.
Right now we are a sure 2 seed, really no question, only way a 1 seed happens is if we win out and everyone else in front trips up...if we don't win out then we are 50-50 at a 2 seed, saint Mary's is a must win for us
We always say we have bias on the East coast, and living in Kentucky I usually agree. Though as GonzagaPride mentioned, we received 2 first place votes in the AP poll this week: from Louisville, KY and from New Orleans, LA. Interesting.
One seed if we win out (including the WCC tournament) and others above falter. Two-four seed otherwise. Four seed if we lose to both BYU and SMU and lose in the tournament. If we lose to SF too, 5 seed.
Couple of weeks ago we were being bandied about as a potential #1 seed. One miracle shot later, (Butler) and it became a two seed.
But now it starts, rumblings about how we don't play in the Big East or ACC...if we did we'd surely lose a lot more, ergo maybe a two seed if we win out. However, my fear is that prevailing sentiment is causing a shift towards the three. No matter if we win out, or who above us loses.
Check out The Bracket Matrix and you'll see this shifting in action.
I don't like it...it is not fair, but there is nothing we can do about it.

Selfishly yes i would love to see UL. I do see them as a hard out with their defensive intensity though.

Thursday looms large.....
While it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, I will have to echo the comments made by gaz-tastic.
We will never, ever get a break (or even a fair shake) from the sports writers back east.
Personally I'd like to see Miami as a 1 seed with Gonzaga as a 4 seed. Scoot us right into the final 4 with any luck at all!

I see us a flat out 2 seed.
