Nobody is stepping up as a solid front-runner this year. This looks like it's destined to be the season of musical chairs.

With injuries to Louisville and Syracuse up next for them, the rotating of #1 rankings looks to continue.

Why am I griping about it? I am not. Now that teams above us in the polls are entering league play, they will most likely have a few losses. We are entering league play and the opposite should happen with us. With Butler's Rotnei Clark going down....it is starting to look like we could win out.

It might be a little early to start talking about it but with BYU and St. Mary's looking like less of a threat than last year, Santa Clara falling apart, and nobody else looking capable of the upset...maybe the unimaginable could happen.

For GU to really deserve a top 10 ranking, they have GOT to start hitting bunnies, rebounding the ball better, fight through screens and most of all the Back court, the entire back court, has got to play better on both sides of the ball.

GBJ needs to hit shots..period ( he is back to fading to his right or left on the release), GLE needs to come in, attack the rim and play like a beast on the D end....KP and Stockton need to be opportunistic and learn to get through screens and stop following their man around on D. And KD needs to play more. He makes mistakes now and then but he is a freshman, a 6' 4" freshman guard who can really take it at the rim, pass well and...eventually start hitting the outside shot.

I like Mike Hart and he does help the team but he should come in twice not three or four times, those other two times should go to GLE or KD..IMO

In addition, PK needs more minutes. The kid could do some serious damage later in the 1st half, Harris, KO could get rest all the while a great scorer is on the floor. However, with that said, they have GOT to run sets that get him the ball in the middle of the key! He is unstoppable here! one of those things I guess but I know Lloyd sees it and has told him to get there...but the ball is not going into him. anyway total tangent I know but drives me nuts!
