As much as I love the Zags, I don't see them breaking the top 10 until we remain undefeated through December. We need to win all in this tournament and beat Baylor and OK State before serious consideration of a single digit ranking.

Fun idea! I will be checking every Monday morning to see how the staff at Zagaholic compare with the AP and Coaches polls.

Seth Greenberg at ESPN.com has us at #3 overall in the country right now.

Fran Fraschilla at ESPN.com has us at #7 right now

Brett Edgerton of ESPN.com has us at #9 right now

John Gasaway of ESPN.com has us at #6 right now

Andy Katz of ESPN.com has us at #10 right now

Jason King of ESPN.com has us at #9 right now

Ken Pomeroy of kenpom.com has us at #10 right now...

So you see, even the guys who are not GU homers love us right now!

I agree with you gonzagapride. I think that we should be moving up but moving up slowly. And I ranked us as such. I think we want to move up slowly and stay there ending the year in the top ten.

That being said, we are getting some big time recognition

It's nice to be noticed but . . . polls at this time of year count for little. IMHO, most of the folks singing our praises have not watched one entire game. The can read stat sheets and that 90 points a game got their attention.

I do think we have the ability to run the table this year. Whether or not we will do it is yet another matter.

IF we do run the table, do you think there is even the smallest chance we will be ranked #1 at the end of the season?

I actually think most of the people who are ranking us watched at least most of the West Virginia game. I think people were excited for the 24 hour marathon. That being said i agree polls mean little, but its always nice to get recognized for doing what you do well. and even if we run the table, it will take a lot of losses by other people before we are number 1, but i doubt it.

You many think Polls are meaningless but I will tell you that if OK ST and Butler keep up their level of play, GU will be playing two ranked teams on the road and a third at home..that is not meaningless.
