Recruit Profile: Bryan Alberts

Gonzaga Recruit Bryan Alberts

As the 2012-13 season draws near, the focus will shift from recruiting for the future to a focus on the present.  Before recruiting is pushed to the back burner, one key recruit is set to visit Gonzaga.

Current recruit, and one of Gonzaga's key focuses for the future, Bryan Alberts is set to visit Gonzaga from the 12th-14th of October.  Alberts is a 2014 guard prospect with a great maturity on the floor.
BTI Director Robert Icart has been high on Alberts potential in the media.
"He is clearly, and I have seen a lot of the top guards, the most college ready perimeter player on the West Coast in 2014.  I'm not talking about upside and potential and some of the other descriptions scouts use.  I'm looking at his skills being transferrable to the college level.  He is a terrific perimeter shooter and has a great mid-range game."
6'3 Alberts possesses a mature body with the capability to play at the rim due to his above average leaping ability.  His mature frame and solid all-around game allows Alberts to score in a variety of ways.  Bryan Alberts has the potential to replace some of the great guards currently at Gonzaga and become a future great of Guard University.

Currently at nine scholarship offers, Sophomore Alberts has already led his high school team, Village Christian, to its first basketball State championship school history.  Alberts will visit the University of Washington and Oregon State on his recruiting trip to the West Coast; however, according to NY2LASports, Wisconsin is the team Gonzaga fans should really be worried about.
Alberts received what he called an exciting offer from Wisconsin this summer as well. Albert’s teammate for BTI Pump N’ Run, 2013 Guard Jordan Hill, recently committed to the Badgers and the two have talked about possibly pairing up at the next level.

"We we're talking about that,” Alberts said.  “If we end up doing that, it would be amazing. We've already been clicking.  If you take it to the next level, we're already comfortable with each other.  That would be really fun."
With the ability to come in and be a contributor in his Freshman year Alberts would be a great pick up for the Zags. A heady player who would work well within Mark Few's system, and would ultimately find success at Gonzaga.

With an offer from the coaches already in hand, all current Gonzaga Students please be on the look out for this individual during the 2nd week of October and make sure he loves his Gonzaga visit.
