More funny stuff! Here is a pic of past Zag star Austin Daye with comedian Kevin Hart. Notice Hart is standing on a chair, and he's still not as tall as Austin, lol:
sometimes i wonder about austin, is he really all in? Does he really work as hard as he could in detroit? No reason why he couldnt be an NBA starter and big time scorer if he put all his effort into working hard...so many times i see pics of him partying and having a good time instead of at the gym and working out...idk, maybe he just doesnt post pics of the hard work like other athletes do, but i have to wonder is LeBron or KD out there partying as much as Austin?
I must admit I don't know much of anything about Austin these days. I do know that young men with access to large sums of money have been known to make poor decisions. I dunno if Austin has the athleticism to be a dominate NBA player. At Gonzaga, many times, he got by on his size and reach rather than hustle. Well time will tell if Austin can be more than he is. When that first contract runs out we will really see what the Pistons think of him.
I remember Austin talking of going pro after his freshman year. That kind of made him not exactly my fav Zag of all time.
First off, I didn't think he was nearly as good as he thought he was, and secondly, I didn't feel he earned any kind of "look" whatsoever by the NBA after his freshman year.
I was shocked that he went out after his sophomore season too. I suppose some people thought he had quite a bit of upside...so far they would be wrong. Not to say that he cannot change things for the better though.
If Austin would have stayed four years perhaps I'd be singing a different tune......a bit jealous I suppose, lol.
I really hope he's giving it his all, and he may well be doing just that. Long, lanky guys tend to look like they are not trying as hard because their length makes them look slow. At least I think that's what it is.
He's had a taste of success...if he is talented enough to stay in the league I betcha he'll do everything it takes to get it done.
I know he doesn't like losing, or bad calls, or refs, lol. Some people complained about his body language and thought he was a whiner at GU.
Actually, I liked his body language because I thought it was entertaining.
