"Keiron TongolYeatts @WorldFnPeace So that boy @RamelloCarter10 done verbally comitted!#gonzaga"
Ramello is a 5-10 Point Guard out of Albany, GA (Deerfield-Windsor). He hasn't really received much attention yet, and there is not much info out there about him. In March he was named to the All-Metro Boys team for Albany after averaging 19.5 points, 3.5 Assists and 3 Steals a game.
A local booster for Deerfield-Windsor (DWS) by the name of Ted Anderson feels Ramello has a chance to be quite special:
"One of his players that has developed into an outstanding work of art is Ramello Carter, a junior, who reminds me of one of the Duke basketball guards (We're assuming he's referring to Austin Rivers who looks similar and plays the same position). He is a remarkable player who I feel surely will be playing at the next level. In my opinion, he has all the skills it takes to play at the next level."Obviously we can take this with a grain of salt as we have yet to see any official scouting reports or tape of Ramello in action. while scouring some of the message boards we came across this mention of Ramello:
"Carter is a great player but he has 3 huge problems. His attitude is awful,he plays defense at about 30 percent and he is not a great shooter. He looks good against weaker opponents because of his ability to drive the basketball.Mt.Vernon took him out of his game and he struggled and also got tech foul which i understand was his 3rd of the year.Coach Gruhl is too good of a coach to allow this attitude to continue if what i heard is true.As an avid supporter of my school and we have been head to head against Deerfield over the years and in the past 6 years i have witnessed some great guards come through that program-Andre Young,Michael Matthews,Shaun Jones,Banks Kinslow and the one thing that stood out was they were great team players. This kid is as talented as any of these but he seems to be all about himself.I hope that changes and wish him well because he has the talent to play at next level.I have all the respect for Coach Gruhl and Deerfield and hope they reign this kid in for his own good.No one is doing him a favor allowing him to act like this.If he can get this under control i would agree he is the best player in GISA."Not a glowing review to be sure, however this is coming from a fan of a rival school, so again take it with a grain of salt. As you can see we're really stretching to find info on Ramello, and will post more soon if we are able to confirm he has in fact verbally committed to GU.
Here is a clip of DSW in action, at this point we are assuming Ramello wears #10:
